Bridge Tip:
When You Put Down
The Wrong Bid |
|
If you look down and are surprised to see what you've just bid.
Stop! Do not say anything. Call the "Director" immediately.
Ask to be taken away from the table and explain what happened, i.e., "I pulled out the wrong bid,"
I failed to see a previous bid." You often won't incur a severe penalty as you might have if you tried to explain your miscue to the table (you are then giving partner unauthorized information).
It is always best to call the director if you are unclear as to your rights. |
