Last month we told you that your lead was obvious and asked you why that was the
case:
In an auction where you and your partner have never bid the opponents are in 3nt.
The auction
was:
1nt/2h(T)/2sp/3nt.
You are on lead holding:
xxx/OJ10x/xx/QJ10x
Your lead should be obvious to you.
What is it? Why?
The answer lies in the omission of a 'Lead-Directing Double' by your partner when the opponents make an artificial 2H (transfer) bid.
It is incumbent on partner to tell you if he wants a suit lead. So any double of an artificial bid is 'lead-direct'.
The absence of same in this case makes your choice easy.
